Wash Operative

About the role

Veolia is seeking a dedicated Wash Operative to join its vehicle cleaning team in Bromley. You will be responsible for safely operating pressure‑washer equipment to clean a range of vehicles while adhering to health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate pressure‑washer machinery and apply appropriate degreasers and chemicals.
• Follow established schedules, record activity in the vehicle washing log, and suggest improvements.
• Collect and dispose of debris and waste from wash areas.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and wash zones in good condition.
• Travel between local depots as required to perform washing tasks.
• Comply with PPE and health‑safety requirements at all times.

Required profile

• Essential: HGV licence, full UK car driving licence, good communication skills, ability to work under pressure and independently.
• Training or experience with pressure‑washer equipment.
• Desirable: Counter‑balance forklift licence, leadership experience, qualification from the Water Jetting Association (WJA).
