Waste Segregation Officer – Salisbury

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Waste Segregation Officer to join our team on a temporary basis in Salisbury. You will work on‑site, helping customers separate refuse and recycling, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and supporting a cleaner community.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, sort and place waste into the correct recycling and non‑recycling bins.
• Operate waste handling equipment such as compactors and balers safely.
• Assist with loading and unloading waste containers using proper lifting techniques.
• Maintain clean and hazard‑free waste areas.
• Conduct routine inspections of storage zones and report any issues.
• Liaise with customers to resolve queries or special requirements.

Required profile

• Reliability and strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail when sorting waste.
• Willingness to wear safety boots and high‑visibility clothing at all times.
• Physical capability to handle manual lifting and operate machinery.
