Water Hygiene Technician – Legionella Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a Water Hygiene Technician to join a leading specialist in water hygiene, Legionella compliance and commercial heating services in Bournemouth. The role involves maintaining safe water systems for commercial clients and delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out regular water temperature monitoring, flushing, sampling and water‑hygiene inspections.
• Clean and disinfect hot and cold water systems and cooling circuits.
• Service, inspect and maintain Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs) and shower heads.
• Diagnose faults, perform corrective actions and aim for first‑time fixes.
• Maintain accurate records of properties, assets and water systems.
• Work with the scheduling team to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
• Escalate compliance concerns and ensure work meets Legionella, water‑hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.

Required profile

• GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade A‑C.
• Strong customer‑service and communication abilities.
• Plumbing background or Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing is desirable.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and committed to high standards.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the water‑hygiene sector.
