Wealth Credit Risk Senior Officer – SVP

About the role

Citi is seeking a senior professional to join its Wealth Risk Management team, part of the 2nd Line of Defence. The role focuses on overseeing wholesale credit risk for the Wealth business, ensuring robust governance, risk appetite adherence, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee credit portfolio limits, stress testing and balance risk‑reward against the firm’s risk appetite.
• Develop and refine methodologies for limit setting, incorporating industry trends and regulatory standards.
• Manage comprehensive risk profiles, conduct regular portfolio health checks and identify emerging risk factors.
• Lead governance discussions, interpret limit rules and supervise single‑name and distribution risk activities.
• Represent the second line of defence in risk‑appetite engagements and communicate risk assessments to stakeholders.
• Supervise credit reserve adequacy and stress‑testing frameworks.
• Examine, challenge and validate new account strategies and account‑management developments.
• Conduct internal reviews, audits and respond to regulatory examinations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in wholesale credit risk, due diligence, transaction structuring and documentation.
• Strong analytical capabilities with a proven track record of risk assessment and mitigation.
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and risk‑governance frameworks.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with first‑line business units and senior stakeholders.
