Wealth Product Governance Lead (12‑month contract)

About the role

This 12‑month contract position leads the product governance framework for a leading UK wealth and asset manager. You will ensure that all wealth products and services meet regulatory standards while delivering strong customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the product governance framework in line with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with product owners, senior leaders and first‑ and second‑line teams to align products with governance requirements.
• Implement regular lifecycle reviews, trigger events and fit‑for‑purpose assessments for each product.
• Lead the Product & Pricing Committee, draft terms of reference and ensure efficient operation.
• Own monitoring of Consumer Duty outcomes, enhance reporting and produce the annual Consumer Duty Board Report.
• Support customer‑facing teams in updating policies for vulnerable customers.
• Assist product owners with annual product, target market and fair‑value reviews.
• Stay informed of regulatory changes and assess their impact on the governance framework.

Required profile

• Proven experience establishing governance frameworks in wealth or investment management, or extensive product/governance/compliance experience in the sector.
• Strong knowledge of investment vehicles, personal banking investor types and wealth‑manager product suites in the UK.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
