Web Insight Analyst

About the role

This is a three‑month contract role based in Banbury, working hybrid (three days on‑site). You will help a fast‑growing retail‑focused organisation turn raw sales and marketing data into proactive, automated insights that drive commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse sales and marketing performance data to spot trends, anomalies and optimisation opportunities.
• Build and maintain a structured performance‑monitoring framework, flagging unusual product‑sales patterns.
• Investigate root causes of changes across traffic, conversion and acquisition channels.
• Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Support the transition from manual reporting to automated analytics workflows.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve data tracking, reporting processes and overall data usage.

Required profile

• Strong experience with GA4, SQL, Power BI and BigQuery.
• Proven ability to interrogate data and uncover underlying performance drivers.
• Excellent communication skills, able to present insights to non‑technical audiences.
• Curious, proactive mindset with a problem‑solving orientation.
• Background in retail or small‑business environments is preferred.
