Weekend Clerical Officer – NHS Dumfries & Galloway

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join the Acute & Diagnostic Administration team at NHS Dumfries and Galloway as Clerical Officers on the weekend front‑of‑house service. The role is based at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and Mountainhall Treatment Centre, providing essential reception and administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reception, clerical and administrative assistance in designated areas such as main reception, orthopaedics, out‑patients, oncology, day surgery, wards and ophthalmology theatres.
• Work closely with clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of discharge paperwork and electronic case notes.
• Support service objectives by assisting in various departments as required, including covering additional shifts during sickness or leave.

Required skills

• 15‑hour per week contract, Saturday and Sunday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
