Weighbridge Operator

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Weighbridge Operator to join a fast‑moving food manufacturing site near Bury St Edmunds. You will be the primary point of contact for drivers and visitors, ensuring smooth vehicle movements and accurate recording of deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge to record incoming and outgoing vehicles accurately.
• Book deliveries, verify documentation and perform sampling where required.
• Enter data into internal systems and learn bespoke software.
• Act as the first point of contact for delivery drivers and site visitors.
• Coordinate vehicle movements to maintain efficient site flow.
• Support stock control, stock‑taking and general yard tasks.
• Assist with other operational duties as needed in a busy manufacturing environment.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a weighbridge operator is desirable.
• Forklift licence (preferably counter‑balance) is advantageous.
• Comfortable working at height.
• Professional, friendly attitude with strong communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK.
