Welder (MIG/TIG) – Full‑time, £36‑39k

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our busy manufacturing and fabrication workshop at Burtons Manufacturing in Staplehurst, Kent. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you will produce high‑quality steel components for veterinary equipment and related products.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and fabricate steel parts from box sections and sheet metal (1‑5 mm thickness).
• Operate equipment such as guillotine, pillar drills, band saw, and press brake as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety policies.
• Perform finishing and cleaning of fabricated components to a high standard.

Required profile

• Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding.
• Strong attention to detail and good time‑keeping.
• Self‑motivated with effective communication skills.
