Welding Technician – High-End Production Role

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Welding Technician to join a well‑established engineering company in Bedford. This is a high‑end production welding position that involves repetitive tasks while maintaining the strict quality standards required by the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality production welding using TIG and MIG equipment.
• Follow technical drawings to fabricate assemblies ready for painting.
• Prepare components for painting by ensuring they are clean and free of scratches.
• Maintain stock levels of welding consumables.
• Keep the work area clean and adhere to safety protocols.

Required profile

• Proven experience with TIG, MIG and other welding procedures on mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Competence in identifying product defects and completing appropriate documentation.
• Commitment to quality standards and safety procedures.

What we offer

• Salary £36,000‑£40,000 per year (DOE)
• Evening shift: 15:00‑01:00, Monday‑Thursday
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Pension contribution of 8% after 3‑month probation
