Wellbeing Coach

About the role

InspireU is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Well‑Being Coach to work with individual young people who have special or particular needs. The primary goal is to support these learners in understanding and following the Behaviour Policy, ensuring their safeguarding and wellbeing. The position is a fixed‑term role for 12 months based in Gainsborough.

Key responsibilities

• Form effective, positive, and appropriate working relationships with learners, creating an atmosphere of trust and support.
• Provide behaviour support for targeted groups and individual students, removing barriers to learning and increasing participation.
• Collaborate with Learning Support, Safeguarding, and Pastoral teams to promote positive engagement and behaviour.
• Encourage and praise learners to develop self‑reliance and self‑esteem.
• Promote student mental and physical wellbeing.
• Develop and carry out interventions to bring about positive changes in challenging behaviour.
• Support attendance monitoring processes.

Required profile

• Resilient, creative and reactive.
• Demonstrates a positive classroom presence.
• Dynamic and resourceful, able to think on your feet.
• Strong communication skills.
