Wellbeing & Engagement Officer – Part‑Time

About the role

The Wellbeing & Engagement Officer supports students both face‑to‑face and online, delivering welfare services and organising activities that build confidence and skills outside the classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level welfare and pastoral support, create and monitor individual Support Plans, and refer students to specialist services as needed.
• Manage safeguarding concerns, maintain accurate records in the student information system, and act as a point of contact for staff.
• Coordinate health registration with local GP practices and assist students in accessing NHS services.
• Organise and deliver welfare events, promotional activities and workshops, and support the Student‑Staff Liaison Committee.
• Handle general student enquiries at the reception, support registration, induction, and enrichment activities, and maintain communication with external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience demonstrating independent working.
• Safeguarding training or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting students in an educational setting and delivering workshops or activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with external partners and manage student‑voice feedback mechanisms.

What we offer

• Salary up to £21,216 per annum pro‑rata.
• Fixed‑term contract until 28 September 2028, part‑time (30 hours per week).
