Wheel Fitter – Commercial Vehicle Workshop

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Wheel Fitter to join a busy commercial vehicle body‑repair workshop in Rochester. The position focuses on the safe removal and refitting of wheels on vans and HGVs during the repair process, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and vehicle safety.

Key responsibilities

• Remove and refit wheels on commercial vehicles, including vans and heavy‑goods vehicles.
• Carry out wheel torque checks to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect wheels for damage, report defects, and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare vehicles safely for repair and final assembly.
• Collaborate with the workshop team to keep repairs moving efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Wheel Fitter, Tyre Fitter or Fast‑Fit Technician.
• Confidence using workshop tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory.
