Wholesale Credit Analyst – Automotive Finance

About the role

The Wholesale Credit Analyst will review wholesale facilities, record data accurately and make lending recommendations to the appropriate authority levels within HCUK, Santander and HCS Korea. The role also structures and negotiates security arrangements and oversees daily wholesale activities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, monitor and report on dealer wholesale funding operations, focusing on credit risk, profit & loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Develop and maintain wholesale credit policies, procedures, controls and reporting.
• Identify business opportunities, product development ideas and early risk signals, providing mitigation and conducting site visits as needed.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of risk, credit, compliance and regulatory requirements and act as a subject‑matter expert.
• Oversee outsourced activities, ensuring KPI and SLA performance and audit contractual obligations.

Required profile

• Solid wholesale credit analysis experience in financial services, preferably automotive.
• Good understanding of credit risk controls, financial ratios and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with financial documentation, business case preparation and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with treating customers fairly and conduct risk principles.
