Widebody Systems Programme Management Placement (12.5 months)

About the role

Airbus is offering two placements within the Widebody Systems & Wing UK Team, focused on Project and Programme Management for A330 and A350 programmes. The 12.5‑month internship will develop your skills in managing projects related to Landing Gear, Fuel systems or Wing areas, while exposing you to configuration management and Airbus sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in leading activities within your portfolio, delivering work packages on time, cost and quality targets.
• Ensure processes are in place to provide clear project direction across cross‑functional teams.
• Follow the Full Change Process to secure aircraft configuration for production and in‑service use.
• Provide regular progress reports and escalate cross‑functional issues as needed.
• Monitor project budgets, manage customer priorities and deliver modifications to the declared target or Point of Embodiment.

Required profile

• Undergraduate studying towards an Engineering degree, with graduation date after the placement.
• Strong team‑player attitude, self‑motivated and eager to learn.
• Ability to understand specifications, design drawings and technical details.
• Interest in finding creative solutions to complex problems.
• Capability to influence and lead multi‑functional discussions.
• Desire to work in an open, trusting environment and develop professionally.

What we offer

• Salary of £24,246 per year.
• 35‑hour work week with flexible and hybrid working options.
