Wills and Probate Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a qualified legal professional to join our estate planning team as a Wills and Probate Legal Counsel. This private‑client supervision manager will ensure that wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney are prepared accurately and in line with client instructions, without any billable targets.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced solicitors and technical professionals to support the quality and progression of client files.
• Review and verify the preparation of wills, trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney for legal and technical accuracy.
• Provide feedback and recommend changes to meet clients' estate‑planning objectives.
• Liaise closely with the estate‑planning team, offering technical support and guidance.
• Maintain quality assurance by ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal processes.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor, CILEX, STEP, or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of estate planning with solid wills‑writing experience.
• Experience in tax planning related to lifetime estate planning.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
