Wind Turbine Engineer – Scotland Patch

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Engineer to join our on‑shore renewable energy team covering a Scotland‑based patch. You will travel across Scotland to perform both planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on wind turbines ranging from 200 kW to 850 kW.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and emergency mechanical maintenance on on‑shore wind turbines.
• Inspect, service, and fault‑find turbine mechanical systems.
• Repair or replace mechanical components in line with OEM standards.
• Support hydraulic and electrical work when required.
• Work safely at height on remote wind‑farm sites, including weekly stay‑aways.

Required profile

• Proven experience with wind turbines, heavy machinery, or rotating equipment.
• Mechanically‑focused engineering background.
• Comfortable working at height and in varied weather conditions.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel across Scotland and stay away from home as needed.
