About the role

Join the Wing Repairs department at Airbus UK for a 12.5‑month placement, working on defining repair solutions for wing structures across the commercial fleet, from legacy A300s to the latest A350s.

Key responsibilities

  • Design repair concepts using CAD tools and produce installation instructions.
  • Perform static stress analysis to confirm the repaired structure meets strength requirements.
  • Carry out fatigue and damage‑tolerance analyses to ensure long‑term safety of the repair.

Required profile

  • Undergraduate studying Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline for the full placement duration.
  • Strong interest in solving technical challenges and applying engineering principles.
  • Graduation date must be after the placement end date.

Required skills

  • Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, CATIA or similar CAD software.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis and statistics.

What we offer

  • Salary of £24,246 per year (35 hours/week).
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid working options.
  • Half‑day Fridays and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
