WIP Controller – Finance (Hybrid, London)

About the role

Right Formula is seeking a commercially‑focused WIP Controller to join its Finance team in Battersea, London. Working in a hybrid model (three days on‑site), you will own the Work‑In‑Progress process across the agency, ensuring projects are financially sound from initiation to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate WIP balances for all client accounts.
• Manage billing plans, invoicing and revenue recognition.
• Produce regular WIP, revenue and profitability reports.
• Investigate and resolve aged WIP and reconciliation issues.
• Partner with account teams to keep projects commercially viable.
• Support month‑end close, forecasting and continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a WIP Controller, Revenue Controller, Billing Controller, Project Finance Analyst or a similar role.
• Background in an agency, consultancy or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of WIP management, billing processes and revenue recognition.
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and confidence using financial systems.
