Wordings Specialist

About the role

We are partnering with a world‑leading insurer to recruit a Wordings Specialist for its UK division. Based in Leeds, you will join a high‑growth team that drafts and reviews policy wordings across open market, direct‑to‑customer and delegated authority channels.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reviews and advice on retail wordings and product documentation.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and FCA requirements.
• Collaborate with underwriters, the Head of Technical Wordings and the International Technical Wordings Team on cross‑divisional projects.
• Monitor emerging market, legal and regulatory trends and disseminate knowledge across the underwriting function.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects and support the development of new insurance product lines.

Required profile

• Broad knowledge of the general insurance market and deep understanding of FCA policy‑wording requirements.
• Proven experience working with senior stakeholders and delivering projects on time.
• Strong analytical and interpretation abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
