Work Experience Officer

About the role

As a Work Experience Officer at Bradford College you will work directly with students to support, manage and monitor all work‑experience activity. You will be responsible for maximising student engagement in placements and building relationships with local and regional employers.

Key responsibilities

• Engage students in work‑experience opportunities to enhance employability skills.
• Source and develop new industry placement opportunities in subject‑specific areas.
• Build and maintain robust business relationships with employers.
• Develop a client database to match departmental needs with placement opportunities.
• Set SMART objectives with curriculum teams and employers and monitor progress.
• Conduct regular placement visits and record student engagement via the Work Experience Management System.
• Produce reports, case studies and contribute to evaluation of placement quality.
• Network internally to support delivery and attend team, development and marketing meetings.

Required profile

• GCSE A*‑C (or equivalent Level 2) in Maths and English.
• Experience delivering work‑experience or industry placements in an education setting.
• Proven ability to develop new local and regional employer contacts.
• Experience working with a diverse range of people.
