Workday Finance Consultant – Public Sector Transformation

About the role

We are partnering with a large public sector organisation to deliver one of the most significant Workday Finance implementations in the UK. The role will involve contributing to a greenfield implementation and helping to establish a permanent in‑house Workday Centre of Excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and configure Workday Financials modules, including General Ledger, Procure‑to‑Pay, Expenses and Financial Accounting.
• Collaborate with finance teams and senior stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
• Support design, testing and deployment phases of the implementation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and optimisation of the Workday platform.
• Assist in building and maturing an internal Workday Centre of Excellence for long‑term support.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Workday Finance Consultant, either client‑side or within a consultancy.
• Strong functional knowledge of Workday Financial modules and end‑to‑end implementation experience.
• Ability to engage and influence senior finance stakeholders.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
• Workday certifications are desirable but not mandatory.

• Salary between £53,000 and £66,000 per year, dependent on experience and seniority.
