Workforce Management Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workforce Management Manager to lead a specialist team within a fast‑growing retail business. You will own labour modelling and forecasting, ensuring that workforce planning is accurate, commercially effective and supports outstanding customer and colleague experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor a team of Workforce Management specialists and analysts.
• Own the performance, governance and optimisation of labour models and forecasting tools.
• Provide insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders to drive operational and commercial decisions.
• Build strong relationships across Operations, Finance, Technology and Data functions.
• Drive continuous improvement in workforce planning, forecasting and labour optimisation.
• Support implementation of new technologies, automation and innovative workforce management solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Workforce Management Manager or similar in a large‑scale retail environment.
• Demonstrated leadership of analytical or specialist teams.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate complex data into practical business actions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Track record of delivering transformation, continuous improvement or technology‑led change.
