Workforce Planning Business Partner

About the role

This new role sits within the Organisation Development & Transformation team and will build a strategic workforce planning approach from the ground up. You will connect strategy, people and insight to understand the current workforce, forecast future needs and close the gap. The position offers real scope to make a lasting impact on the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead the strategic workforce planning framework.
• Identify the skills, capabilities and capacity required for the future.
• Turn workforce data into clear insight, forecasts and scenarios that support better decisions.
• Partner with senior leaders to embed workforce planning into business planning and decision‑making.
• Collaborate with People and Talent colleagues to translate insights into talent, succession and capability plans.
• Help shape career pathways, internal mobility and development opportunities.
• Identify workforce risks early and support leaders in taking action.
• Champion an equity‑based approach to ensure diverse and inclusive workforce plans.

Required profile

• Strong experience in strategic workforce planning, strategic HR or organisational planning.
• Deep knowledge of workforce planning frameworks, future skills and organisational capability.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make complex workforce data meaningful.
• Experience translating workforce plans into talent and capability strategies.
• Understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion in workforce decision‑making.
• Confidence and credibility to influence senior leaders.
• Collaborative, proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
• Ability to build trust, challenge thinking and embed new ways of working.
