Working at Height Trainer – Tower Climbing & Rescue

About the role

Radio Structures Ltd (TRS) is seeking an experienced Working at Height Trainer to deliver practical, safety‑focused training on tower climbing, rescue techniques and first aid at height. The role combines classroom instruction with hands‑on site work and occasional rigging engineering support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver theory and practical Working at Height training covering tower climbing, safe access, fall‑arrest and work‑positioning systems.
• Teach rope‑based working and rescue techniques within the course scope.
• Provide first aid at height training and conduct learner assessments.
• Maintain accurate training records and certification paperwork.
• Support rigging teams on site with engineering assistance, installation support and rescue planning.
• Occasionally travel to client premises in the UK and, rarely, overseas.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching, training and assessment qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET) or at least 2 years of training delivery experience.
• Proven competence in working at height and tower climbing.
• Strong rope‑access or rescue background.
• Ability to work safely at height and lead by example.
• Excellent communication skills and a safety‑first mindset.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
