Working Foreperson

About the role

Ian Williams is seeking a Working Foreperson to lead reactive maintenance repairs across client sites in Bristol. You will be on‑site, guiding a team of operatives, ensuring high‑quality delivery and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead from the front on site, carrying out reactive maintenance repairs.
• Oversee and support a team of operatives and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to maintain smooth, high‑quality service delivery.
• Conduct health and safety reporting, including welfare checks and equipment inspections.
• Monitor safe ways of working, PPE usage, van and tool/equipment condition.

Required profile

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a core trade – beneficial.
• SSSTS qualification – advantageous but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate an experienced workforce.
• Full, current UK driving licence – essential.
