Works Manager – Bespoke Joinery

About the role

We are seeking an experienced joinery professional with strong project‑management capabilities to lead the day‑to‑day operations of a growing bespoke joinery business. You will own client relationships, oversee production, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and coordinate production with the Assistant General Manager and Workshop Manager.
• Manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Prepare and submit accurate quotations using JMS quotation software.
• Conduct site surveys to gather project requirements and identify potential issues.
• Work Monday to Friday, 8 am–5 pm on‑site at the Hawkhurst facility.

Required profile

• Strong background in joinery manufacturing.
• Previous experience in a leadership or management position, overseeing projects.
• Ability to conduct site surveys and communicate effectively with clients.
• Willingness to learn and use JMS quotation software (training provided).
