About the role
Join a busy manufacturing team in Gillingham as a Workshop Assistant. This hands‑on position involves using a range of hand tools to measure, drill, cut and assemble components while following clear instructions.
Key responsibilities
- Operate hand tools to measure, drill, cut and assemble materials.
- Follow written and verbal assembly instructions and basic drawings.
- Support the workshop team to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
- Keep the workshop tidy and report any issues promptly.
Required profile
- Some experience in a workshop or similar setting.
- Confidence using hand tools and reading basic assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a reliable work ethic.
- Team‑player who is punctual and honest.
