Workshop Assistant – Precision Cutting Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Workshop Assistant to support the daily operations of a specialist manufacturing workshop in Watlington. The role involves hands‑on assistance with cutting machinery, material preparation and ensuring high‑quality output for our engineering and creative clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and operation of high‑precision cutting equipment.
• Handle, prepare and organise materials for cutting jobs.
• Perform quality checks on finished components.
• Pack and dispatch customer orders efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well‑organised workshop environment.
• Support senior machinists and engineers with routine tasks.

Required profile

• Practical, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work accurately under pressure.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliability, punctuality and a safety‑first mindset.
• Previous workshop or manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
