Workshop Cleaner – Totton Depot

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Workshop Cleaner to join our client’s Totton depot on a full‑time basis. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment, supporting multiple departments as needed.

Key responsibilities

• General hygiene and cleanliness of the workshop, staffroom, yard and car‑park areas.
• Empty bins, remove scrap, and segregate waste for recycling and controlled disposal.
• Daily yard checks and litter picking.
• Sweep and floor‑clean work bays and workshop floors.
• Maintain good husbandry of workshop tools, oil stores and air lines.
• Secure customer vehicles, lock windows, tag keys and store them appropriately.
• Valet sales display and courtesy vehicles, ensuring correct parking.
• Charge the EV fork truck regularly and operate it when required.
• Assist the stores, parts, and service departments with cleaning, stock checks, and vehicle movements.
• Perform any additional duties requested by the line manager.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar workshop or industrial cleaning role.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Forklift licence (desirable).
• Reliable, hard‑working and detail‑oriented.
• Team player who takes pride in their work.
