Workshop Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to lead the daily operations of a busy dealership workshop in Yeovil. The role bridges the workshop floor and front‑of‑house, driving productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the workshop.
• Allocate work efficiently to technicians to maximise productivity.
• Monitor workshop loading and ensure deadlines are met.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and company standards.
• Support and motivate the workshop team to achieve targets.
• Liaise with Service Advisors on work progress and updates.
• Maintain health and safety standards across the workshop.
• Assist with quality control and final checks when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or Senior Technician ready to step up.
• Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Vehicle technical knowledge across a range of models.
