Workshop Electrician – Training Centre (Newcastle)

About the role

We are seeking a Workshop Electrician to join an independent training provider in Newcastle. The role involves supporting the delivery of electrical and plumbing training to apprentices within a dedicated workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist tutors and learners during practical sessions, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Prepare, set up and maintain workshop equipment, tools and materials for training activities.
• Carry out basic maintenance, repairs and stock control of workshop assets.
• Support the delivery of electrical training modules to apprentices.

Required profile

• Background in electrical or multi‑trade work, with hands‑on experience using tools and workshop setups.
• Organised, reliable and able to thrive in a training environment.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Open to transitioning from field work to a more structured, site‑based role.

Required skills

• Electrical installation and maintenance.
• Use of workshop tools and equipment.
• Basic mechanical repair and stock management.
