Workshop Engineer – Forklift Maintenance & Training

About the role

We are seeking a Workshop Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of specialist plant and material handling equipment. The role is based at our modern Bolton depot and offers a stable permanent contract with full training in electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance, inspection and testing on a range of forklift and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Ensure equipment complies with health and safety standards.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate service records.

Required profile

• Engineering qualification or relevant experience in plant, mechanical, REME or vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to commute to Bolton (Westhoughton, Chorley, Horwich, Wigan, Bury, Manchester, Leigh, Skelmersdale).
• Motivation to develop technical skills through multi‑skill training.
