Workshop Engineer – Path to Project Management

About the role

This permanent position is based in York and offers a hands‑on engineering environment with a clear route towards project management. You will split your time between the head office, home‑working and site visits, supporting the build, test and delivery of large‑scale, high‑spec equipment for the events and entertainment sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple multi‑million‑pound design projects from concept to completion.
• Provide engineering support on the shop floor, overseeing build and test activities.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
• Maintain 40‑hour contracted schedule, Monday to Friday.

Required profile

• Background in engineering or manufacturing, preferably within high‑spec equipment production.
• Ambition to progress into a Project Manager role.
• Ability to commute to York and travel to project sites as needed.

Required skills

• Hands‑on engineering experience.
