Workshop Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Workshop Team Leader to run our fast‑paced materials handling workshop. You will oversee a close‑knit team of engineers, ensuring daily operations run smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of workshop engineers and technicians.
• Plan, schedule and prioritise maintenance, servicing and repair jobs for a wide range of material handling equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety and quality standards.
• Monitor workload, allocate resources and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.

Required profile

• Hands‑on engineering or maintenance experience, preferably with forklift trucks, mobile plant machinery, HGVs or industrial vehicles.
• Proven leadership or management experience in a workshop setting.
• Recognised engineering qualification.
