Workshop Technician – Mechanical & Electrical Assembly

About the role

Our client, a globally recognised manufacturer of premium dental and hairdressing equipment, is looking for a Workshop Technician to join their London‑based workshop. The role involves assembling, testing and inspecting precision‑engineered products, offering a solid foundation for a hands‑on career in a stable, expanding organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical equipment from start to finish.
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Carry out testing, inspections and adjustments to ensure product functionality and quality.
• Complete production, quality‑control and testing documentation accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
• Identify and report faults, defects or discrepancies to management.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives within the workshop.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and development.

Required profile

• Previous experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
• Apprenticeship or vocational qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Competent using hand tools, power tools and basic electrical test equipment such as multimeters.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good organisational and record‑keeping skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
