Workshop Technician – Turbomachinery Specialist

About the role
This is a hands‑on workshop position focused on the inspection, machining, refurbishment and assembly of turbine rotors and other rotating equipment to OEM standards. The role supports both in‑house production and field service during major outages.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect, machine and refurbish turbine rotors and rotating components up to 10 tons.
- Perform blasting, dimensional inspections and work to OEM QHSE standards.
- Operate workshop equipment such as lathes, milling machines and CNC machinery.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, working to tight tolerances, limits and fits.
- Provide special tooling, work‑branches and onsite inspections to support field service teams.
Required profile
- 5‑10 years experience with rotating equipment in a workshop or field environment.
- Vocational engineering training with a strong manufacturing/production background.
- Commercial and cost awareness.
