Worktribe SME Consultant – Research Systems Programme

About the role

This temporary, full‑time position is based in London and supports a high‑profile research systems programme for a leading not‑for‑profit university. As a Worktribe Subject Matter Expert you will shape configuration decisions, ensure successful system implementation and drive operational improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on configuration options across Worktribe modules, recommending designs that improve efficiency and user experience.
• Identify and raise technical constraints, integration dependencies and system limitations that could affect configuration choices.
• Participate in configuration decision workshops and process‑design sessions, delivering specialist input.
• Review solution design documentation and supply structured written feedback.
• Spot early risks, trade‑offs and downstream impacts before finalising decisions.
• Advise on configuration testing strategy, acceptance criteria and readiness assessments.
• Help build internal capability and contribute to documentation for long‑term maintainability.

Required profile

• Extensive experience configuring Worktribe, especially Opportunities, Pre‑Award, Profiles, Post‑Award, Ethics, Due Diligence, Timesheets and Contracts.
• Strong understanding of the research funding lifecycle and its enablement through system configuration.
• Proven track record delivering complex technology change projects in a research‑intensive university environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
