Yard Manager

About the role

The Yard Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of a busy yard supporting a specialist scaffolding supplies business. You will ensure deliveries are handled safely, stock levels are maintained and the yard remains tidy and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily running and organisation of the yard.
• Load and unload deliveries and collections using a forklift.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels across the yard.
• Store materials safely and keep the yard orderly.
• Prepare scaffolding and other supplies for customer collections and deliveries.
• Support and supervise yard operatives when required.

Required profile

• Valid forklift licence.
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse or similar environment.
• Experience in scaffolding, construction supplies or a related industry is advantageous.
• Good understanding of stock control and yard operations.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (licensed).
