Yard Operative – Vehicle Yard Management

About the role

We are looking for a Yard Operative to join our Activate Accident Repair site in Kings Langley. The role involves keeping the yard clean, organising vehicle movements and delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Check vehicles in and position them correctly in the yard.
• Move cars between front and rear car parks and to designated bays.
• Take photographs of vehicles, record any damage and ensure paperwork is signed.
• Hand over and maintain courtesy cars, keeping them clean, tidy and fueled.
• Collect and deliver vehicles to off‑site locations as required.
• Report accidents or incidents promptly to the Bodyshop Manager.

Required profile

• Full driving licence with appropriate vehicle classifications.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Experience in logistics or vehicle appraisal.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work safely.
