Yard Supervisor – Night Shift

About the role

The Bread Factory is seeking a proactive Yard Supervisor to lead night‑shift yard operations in London. You will ensure safe, efficient vehicle movements and maintain a clean, organised environment while supporting the broader transport and night operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise night‑shift yard activities, ensuring safety, efficiency and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate vehicle movements, loading, and on‑time departures, escalating issues as needed.
• Promote and enforce Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
• Conduct vehicle checks, report defects and liaise for timely resolutions.
• Maintain a clean, organised yard and monitor traffic flow.
• Provide accurate shift handovers and operational records.
• Act as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day yard issues.
• Identify improvement opportunities and support compliance with yard standards.
• Perform hands‑on duties, including driving, during busy periods.

Required profile

• Valid Forklift Licence (or willingness to complete training provided).
• Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Previous supervisory experience in transport, logistics, warehouse or yard environments.
