Year 1 Class Teacher – Ealing Primary School

About the role

The school is a well‑regarded 2‑form entry primary school in Ealing Broadway looking for a Year 1 Teacher to join the Key Stage 1 team from January 2027 to July 2027, with the possibility of extension. You will work in a supportive environment with strong leadership and a collaborative planning approach.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a Year 1 class, delivering lessons that meet the National Curriculum.
• Provide high‑quality phonics and early reading instruction.
• Support pupils’ progress in reading, writing, mathematics and the wider curriculum.
• Use assessment data to identify next steps for each learner.
• Collaborate with the parallel Year 1 teacher and the wider KS1 team.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1.
• Strong understanding of phonics and the KS1 curriculum.
• High expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Effective classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
