Year 1 Class Teacher

About the role

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Year 1 Class Teacher for an Ofsted "Good" primary school in West London. The role is a full‑time, temporary position running until July 2027, with the possibility of extension or a permanent offer based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Year 1 lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Mark assessments, record progress and provide feedback to pupils and parents.
• Organise and attend parents’ evenings and other school events.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and fellow teachers to support school improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience in Key Stage 1 within the UK.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS registered with the online update service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
