Year 1 Primary School Teacher – Full‑Time Temporary

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified Year 1 Primary Teacher for an inclusive, three‑form entry school in Kidbrooke, Greenwich. The role is full‑time, temporary and runs during term time, with the possibility of extension or a permanent offer based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver KS1 curriculum across all core subjects.
• Assess student progress, mark work and provide feedback.
• Organise and attend parents’ evenings and other stakeholder meetings.
• Maintain effective classroom behaviour management.
• Support pupils with SEN and EAL needs.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of KS1 teaching experience in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum.
• Demonstrated experience in SEN/EAL provision.
• Current safeguarding training (within the last year).

Required skills

• Strong KS1 curriculum knowledge.
• Behaviour management expertise.
• Experience supporting SEN and EAL learners.
