About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Primary Teacher to join our school in Swindon. The role involves delivering the national Year 1 curriculum to a mixed‑ability class while fostering a supportive and stimulating learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engaging, age‑appropriate lesson plans for Year 1 pupils.
• Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and growth.
• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and fellow staff to ensure a cohesive approach to learning.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support.
• Maintain effective classroom management and uphold safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Clean DBS check.
• Strong knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum.
• Exceptional classroom management abilities.
• A nurturing and supportive teaching style.
