About the role
Are you a hard‑working and attentive individual looking to start or continue your career as a Year 1 Teacher? Academics is seeking a Supply Teacher for several reputable schools in Birmingham. The role begins in September 2026, involves daily teaching assignments and may develop into a longer‑term position for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Provide and encourage a safe and inclusive environment for pupils.
- Plan and deliver quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Adapt teaching and lesson plans for children with SEND.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
- Monitor and assess pupils' development.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service).
- Willingness to undertake relevant training continuously as needed.
