Year 1 SEN Teacher – Mainstream Primary (Full‑time, Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a Year 1 SEN Teacher for a mainstream primary school in West London. You will work with a small group of 7‑8 pupils who have high levels of SEND needs, primarily speech, language and social communication difficulties, and who operate at a very low academic level.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lessons for the Year 1 class, adapting content to meet individual SEND requirements.
• Provide intensive, high‑level support to enable pupils to function within a mainstream environment.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and other staff to develop and monitor individualized education plans.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and complete all required documentation.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year SEN or teaching experience in the UK.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS with online update service.
• Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
