Year 1 Supply Teacher – Flexible Days

About the role

Reed is seeking enthusiastic Year 1 supply teachers for primary schools across Hampshire. The role offers immediate start dates, flexible daily rates and the chance to work in a variety of school environments while supporting young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned Year 1 curriculum and adapt lessons to meet pupil needs.
• Maintain effective classroom behaviour and a positive learning atmosphere.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth hand‑over between assignments.
• Follow school policies, health and safety procedures, and safeguarding guidelines.

Required profile

• Relevant classroom experience, preferably with Year 1 pupils.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Adaptability to work across different school settings.
• Proactive, professional attitude and willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS if not already held.
• Passion for supporting early years learning and development.
