About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic Year 1 supply teachers for primary schools across Hampshire and the South East. The role offers flexible, day‑to‑day assignments with immediate start dates, ideal for teachers returning to the classroom or seeking varied experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Year 1 curriculum in line with school policies.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a supportive learning environment.
• Adapt lesson plans quickly to suit different school settings.
• Provide basic marking and feedback where required.

Required profile

• Relevant classroom experience, preferably with Year 1 pupils.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Adaptability to work across multiple primary schools.
• Professional, proactive attitude and willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS if not already held.

Required skills

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
