About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic Year 1 supply teachers for primary schools across Hampshire. The role offers flexible, day‑to‑day teaching assignments with immediate start dates, ideal for teachers looking for short‑term, rewarding work.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Year 1 curriculum on a day‑to‑day basis in various primary schools.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a supportive learning environment.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and timetables.
• Provide minimal planning and marking, focusing on delivering set lesson plans.

Required profile

• Relevant classroom experience, preferably with Year 1 pupils.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Adaptability to work in multiple school environments.
• Proactive, professional attitude and willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS if not already held.
• Passion for supporting the learning and development of Year 1 students.
